JusDraft - a word from the founders

At Epoq Legal, we believe everyone should have access to justice.

South Africa is home to 57.7 million people, many of whom simply cannot afford or don’t have access to legal services. As such, they are reliant on non-profit organisations who in turn partner with law firms and other institutions in order to make services like advice or legal services available.

JusDraft provides NPO’s and other organisations the ability to make legal services available to those in need.

In 2018 we were invited to take part in HiiL’s Innovating Justice Challenge and ultimately entered their prestigious Justice Accelerator program. We designed and built a platform that enables non-profit organisations the ability to easily and efficiently create legal documents for people in the communities they serve.

We approached various organisations who share the mission of helping millions of people and together we’ve created JusDraft.

Together we believe we can make a difference!

“HiiL strongly believes that innovation is needed in the justice domain to prevent or resolve pressing justice problems for citizens around the globe. JusDraft is a great example in contributing to that challenge. Their solution is ready to support thousands of citizens in getting their legal documents.”

“From day to day problems to big world issues, South African women and children have a lot to worry about! They fight social and legal obstacles around almost every corner and often give up on finding legal support when they need help the most. LAW FOR ALL works tirelessly to break down the barriers to justice - making the law more affordable and accessible - and empowers women and children to enforce their rights.

'Together with JusDraft, we hope to have a hugely positive impact on as many vulnerable lives as possible.”

“With millions of over-indebted consumers in South Africa, it is so important to reach these individuals and their families who can benefit from the debt management solutions that are made available through the governed processes of the National Credit Act. DebtBusters has already helped more than 70,000 people to lift the burden of debt and to secure a brighter financial future.

With JusDraft, DebtBusters is looking forward to help even more consumers become debt free and to create a secure financial future for themselves and their families.”

Marc Naumann, Director Client Services DebtBusters

“Much like JusDraft, Baobab is in the business of empowering people when it comes to legal issues. Specifically, making the law and its processes easier for the general public to understand. We do so by producing a range of helpful legal video tutorials in association with lawyers and law firms.

We are proud to be working with a platform with the same moral standing and objectives as our own; together making justice more accessible and a possibility for all.”

Guy Stern, Co-founder Baobab

“Epoq Legal is excited to be part of the JusDraft venture as we continuously strive to live up to our tagline 'making law easy'; by providing uncomplicated, real-time document automation technology.

With Epoq's technology powering the JusDraft platform we are freeing up much needed time and human resources to be able to assist as many people as we possibly can. We look forward to being part of the good work JusDraft is doing to make a real difference in South Africa.”
